The dog we have chosen to be the father of Rosa’s puppies is Darnells Dusky Knight. known as Flyn at home, where he lives with his mother Cally (Baywillow Calantha) and his sister Asha (Dusky Maiden of Ross).

He is co–owned and bred by Enid and Graham Chapman.

Whelped in June 2006, he is now nearly four years old. He is by Sh Ch Malmelsa Dusky Dallas of Knabynnus JW ShCM out of Baywillow Calantha (see Pedigree).

His father ‘Ross’ holds 14 CCs and 12 Reserve CCs and was overall runner- up in the Pedigree Champion Stakes at Blackpool Championship show 2005 and a finalist in 2006, qualifying from Leeds Championship show

He has been consistently well placed at both Championship and Open Shows, where he has one several Best of Breed. He won his first CC at Paignton Champ show in 2009. He has twice won his class at Crufts, in 2008 and this year, 2010.

He has worked all his life and beats and picks up every season on a local shoot. He is a confident swimmer.

Apart from his excellent conformation and beauty, we chose him because of his obvious working ability and his temperament. Both of these qualities are very strong in Rosa and we want to complement and enhance them with Rosa’s mate.

We are delighted our litter of nine sturdy, healthy puppies. We had five bitches and four dogs, all of them confident, outgoing and showing potential as gundogs.

Gus is the dog we chose as a mate for Jess. All of the puppies have excellent temperaments. Rosa is being shown and is also doing well in her training for the field and Karl is working as a deer stalking dog. All the rest are family dogs.

Although he himself has not been trained to work, he comes from a background of dual purpose dogs, winning well in the show ring and working regularly in the field as gundogs.

He was born in June 2003. He has an excellent temperament and has had considerable success in the show ring .

He gained his Sh CM on July 15th 2006 and his title of Show Champion in January 2009 at the Manchester Championship show under Ms K Brown. He also holds 2 Best of Breed Awards, 1 Group 3 and 4 Reserve CCs
