Otto was born in December 2003. He was bred by Angela Boyd. He came to live with us when he was 6 months old, after a working home in Sweden fell through. He immediately showed natural ability as a working dog and seemed to already know most of the things we were teaching him! However his strong hunting drive made him a real challenge to control and it is only in the last year that we have finally managed to convince him that he should be hunting with us and not for himself. He is now settling down and everything seems to be coming together. Look out for further news of his progress! ![]() He has achieved his Silver Good Citizens award and is now working for his Gold. This is important for his socialisation and all our dogs go through this scheme. He has only been shown a few times, but he qualified for and was shown at Crufts 2005. He has grown into a very big dog and is more suited to the standard in Europe and America than in the UK. We no longer show him for this reason. His enthusiasm and commitment is total in everything he does and he proved to be a gentle and extremely tolerant 'uncle' to Jess' puppies.
